Located northeast of Santa Marta in the Caribbean Sea, this national park stands out for its spectacular white beaches and crystal clear waters, mangroves, coral reefs and huge variety of fish, as well as hills, forests and over 100 species. of mammals and 200 birds.

There are 83 kilometers of beaches full of adventure, with 15 thousand hectares of nature; They welcome open arms, exotic places that hide snakes, howler monkeys or pelican herds. It is a place full of transparent beaches and incredible coral formations, located close to the cliffs of the Sierra Nevada foothills of Santa Marta, which with its diverse topographic conformation is an incomparable spectacle.

The mountain range merges with the sea, further feeding the deep blue, which in this place contains cold waters and full of underwater life preferred by divers who find in La Cueva de Neguanje, La Isla Aguja or Bahía Concha the best scenery to practice the your sport.

Although the sea is fierce on most of the coast, there are beautiful beaches for sunbathers like Arrecifes, just a 30-minute walk from the main entrance. Canaveral is full of strong currents, but with a privileged place called the pool, which allows adults and children to swim freely.

In the park area there are archaeological ruins that indicate the existence of human settlements of the Tayrona tribe that occupied the region from pre-Columbian times until colonization (perhaps 15th and 16th centuries).
